They will win a lot of money and their families will be set for life. Isn't that the way it always goes though? But the kids are in a race to see who can get to Eden at all costs. The company they are working for, Babel Communications, are keeping secrets. I loved some of the characters in the book and I can't really tell you which ones because some might die right? Just want to keep you on your toes! The kids are scored daily on the trials they perform and that will tell who all gets in. They have to be prepared for life on Eden. The kids are put through some rigorous training like fighting, terrain issues, work they have to do there and a few other things. They have to mine a substance called, Nyxia. They are going to meet a new species there and try to set up a good life on Eden.
